at the time of its release in late 2014, this was the last maedasalt album i wanted to do. it ended up not being the case - however, i felt it was the best i had done at its time, and new music just felt redundant. there's part of me that still feels that way, but in all honesty, every full album is made with the mindset it's the finale. so it's only fitting it was given that description.
